Rosie was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia in October 2002, so she retired from the breed ring after the 2002 Labrador National Specialty. Rosie will continue to pose as a Barbie Dog, crew aboard the SV ARIEL every summer, and continue to have fun playing at agility and obedience. In July 2004, Rosie earned her Working Certificate at the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston's WC/WCI/WCX tests. During the week of the LRC National Specialty, 2005 in Warwick, RI, Rosie ran her first agility trial and earned her LRC Conformation Certificate. Rosie is now retired from agility because that A Frame got harder and harder to climb. Rosie still enjoys playing at some of the obstacles when she has the chance. Her favorite continues to be the elevated dog walk. Rosie is the best puppy nanny in the world. She adores all baby creatures. She nurtures all that come her way. You can see some of her mothering on the puppy pages in this web site. In 2008 Rosie earned her Rally Novice title with two placements (one FIRST and one THIRD).
